Shanghai, Suzhou trip
Woohooo.. Back from China. I know its abt a week plus. But because of the presentation and the journal, i'm too lazy to post up the photos on the Shanghai trip. Now that i've finally finished my journal.. i have the time man... haha. Here goes...
*
DAY ONE

The Maglev train. Very spacious. And the whole pathway to the station was not airconned. They dont need aircons there anyway. Its naturally air conditioned.
*

*

At Suzhou. In the Zhujiajiao water village. Whereby the locals practically use the river water for everything. From washing their brooms, to vege, to keeping canned drinks cool to dumping their rubbish there. It was really an eye opener! Lunch there was rather hazardous. I seriously had no appeitte to touch their food after gg past many many restaurants with glass containers containing half alive fishes and seafood.

*

Next its a visit to a privategarden with 999yrs of history.. i think. =) Very scenic. With rocks and flowers like grapes. nice pond too with koi! That marks the end of the first day, with my purchase of the redbook. Thinking abt it now... its rather expensive. 190yuan for 2. hmm.

*

DAY TWO

Rooster park in Suzhou industrial park. It's damn huge!!! And its very windy! Earlier in the morning we visited the SIP and had a rather meaningless biz forum there. Guessed they are just not open about it. Then its to the ironic company-App. Its in the news now.. So exciting. Really wonder they really have unacceptable conducts. Bascially, this day was for the visits.. Oh. And our coach nearly collasped. Because we made an additional trip to the company's water treatment plant. And thankfully, though i was wearing skirt, i didnt freeze to death... thanks to phyl jacket.

*

DAY THREE

Silkfactory. We didnt get to see live cocoons, but dead ones. Its really fascinating.. I should have bought more stuff here!!! In the morning, we went to the suzhousingapore international sch.. well.. not much stuff there. But its v singaporean style. But theirs follow the IB. I think it was shopping... didnt get much stuff i think. But was very hungry when we were watching an acrobatic performance. I didnt know that watching acrobatic performance was sooo stressful. The fear of them falling and breaking their bones. You worry abt the performers, which is sooo not relevant. =) But, one thing, you'll never catch me watching another acroshow. nono.

*
DAY FOUR

Morning was spent at Boaikids rehab ctr. Smiles and laughter filled the air there though the children had some forms of disabilities. It was really an enriching time spent there. Then it was to GES, a company visit. At night it was to Xintiandi. An upscale entertainment and night hotspot. They had very warmy streetlamps there. Which was operated by some gas or what. It was like a burning fireplace..

*

DAY FIVE
*We went to Caoyang Xincun. It started as a very weary morning. But once we alighted the coach the kids just grab your hands. =) So sweet and so cute. And they even performed for us. Now, this really made me think twice abt kids.

*
Then we went to Shanghai Normal Uni. There we had lunch with our newfound friend, Wenjun. The canteen was similar, just that their serving of food was enormous. It could have possibly feed 2 of me. Ohh, and we had the milktea with pearl... HOT. woohoo. It was sooo damn shiok!! Headed down to the Oriental Pearl Tower. It was a little misty or was it airpollution. There was nthg much up there. But the Shanghai Municipal History museum was interesting. Very large with very real figures. There, we bid farwell to wenjun.
*

*

At night, we headed to the BUND area. It was very beautiful... the lights and water. woohoo. But then, again its very very windy and cold. So I conclude, the best companion to go tgt to Shanghai is someone who is not afraid of cold, and someone bigsize. For what? A hug and a shield from cold!!

*

DAY SIX

It was a temple visit. Smokey and whatnots. Then it was a near 5hrs shopping time at Qipulu.. well, nthg much there. But bought a cheongsam. wahahaha.
Lastly, all the mates in TV02 that made the trip so enjoyable. Its less than 1week to sch reopen. And its a long 1hr+ ride to tp...woohoo. i'm loving it man!
