Langkawi escapade

(I started this post abt 5 days back. But i can never seem to finish it)
Back from my long-awaited holidays to the langkawi island. It was wonderful. Everything from the food, the sights, places, environment and people were great. Man, and the beach was just right in front of the hotel. And everywhere was sunny and sunny!!!
Day One

On board the smallest plane that i've taken so far, it wasnt too bad. But the food was bad. In anyways, it was just an hour and 20mins flight to the langkawi airport. Where we had to descend ourselves w/o the tunnel that most airports would have. So there was our first view of langkawi in hollywood style.
And it was on for a ride to our hotel for check in. 180 was our homey for the next 3 days. Though w/o a direct seaview, but if you look further, you can see the beach.

The hotel's lobby...

I managed to catch the sunset whil babe missed it just to take the camera from the room. Ah.. i'm super sorry!!! But it was just soooo tranquil.

and more....

Then we headed to dinner at SunCafe. Walked for around 20mins to get there. The streets were abMan. I wish that i can bring the whole SunGroup back to sg. The interior was great, so was the people who served. Although there were constantly lizards running across the walls, but if you dont bother them, they are of not much harm.

The food that we ordered..

Le Cordon Bleu chicken. Which was chicken stuffed with a piece of ham inside. Very interesting. The fries were especially nice nice nice!!!

Mine was king prawns with linguine. Ah.. i expected the KING prawns to be bigger. But the 6 made up for that.

After that, we passed by lotsa of SunSun places. Including this
And this

Which we went in and had Tequila Sunrise. Although a very small area, and the angmoh at the bar counter looked at me when my camera flashed, everything was just peace. With the barista making his movements through the ice throwing into the glass, its just great.

On the way back, we saw SunDay bistro. Where the friendly host tried to invite us in when we were going to dinner and we saw him again when we were heading back. The exterior was so Balinese style.

Then its off to lalaland for babe.

Day Two

The next day we headed to Oriental Village for the CableCar ride. Oh Man... Its just soooooo nice and beautiful.

The tickets....

The cable car which can seat 6 person.

Although we had to climb up and down to get to this bridge, it was worthwhile. And the stepes were irregular. Man. Its a real workout!

Although dark clouds were looming, but it didnt deter our enthu-ness. Wahahaa..

We went back on ground after the hard work to climb the bridge.

Went to KuahTown. To their LangkawiFair. It was supposedly their largest shopping ctr. But it wasnt of so much to look at. Then we headed to....
Cabbed down to LamanPadi for a view of rice plantations. It was good. But the whole place was as though there were only 2 visitors. But it was cool. But the restaurant's food prices were tooo ex to consider. Hence making us to move to over next destination.

The UnderwaterWorld. Priced at RM28, it was even cheaper than that of sg ba. And we took ard a few hours to get through the whole attraction. It was great! But then the 'opening' view was the enormous and humongous saltwater fishes that sent chills down me. And with the glass enlarging them further more, i was glad that we went over there fast.

And there we saw flamangos, rabbits, tortises, and fishes held in open-top containers. Oh, and mandrain ducks which came in pairs.

Then it was to the indoor. And the playful seals greeted us. We caught the 'performance' by them.

Then it was my favourite!! Penguins! OMG, they are just soooo cute.

And then you'll get to see mambo (dont know the name of the species) They are just soooo cute!!

And they greeted us in a super uder strange manner. And the thing is that, they do it sooo uniformly that it'was a little scary!
They actually stick their bodies afloat, close to the glass surface and kept on flapping their wings. And they do it together!!For the close-up. They really did produced an "arh-arh-arh" sound.

Then to the smaller seaanimals.. where we saw seaurchins, studded starfishes, zebra sharks whose eyes look very human. And sea otter which are sleeping from their afterlunch.

Then its back to homey. Off to AmorasSpa in the hotel. Had the Traditional Balinese Massage. It was soo oily but a satisfying 90mins of massage and relaxation. Minus the part of steam and sauna room. The heat was just unbearable!!!! And its like having the aftertaste of oil on your skin. After all the heat and back into the cool reception area, everything was back to normal.

Going out for dinner at ard 9 TangLung Seafood. Decorated using red lanterns. Even the tablecloths were red! And we order mantis shrimp. Which were damn difficult to eat. But it was nice!
*
The menu...

Look at the price of the beer... Man. Its damn cheap cheap cheap!!!! This was what we ordered. The mantis shrimp cost rm96!! And its rm16 per 100g. Out of the total bill of 139! Man. Must be the weight of the shell.

Heading back to the hotel with a full stomach, we decided to check out the beach at night. Yup. It was nice and windy, but the disturbance of the mosquitos sent us back to the homey.

Day Three

With only less than 5hrs before we get coached back to the airport, we decided to loll around the swimming pool and beach for the whole morning. Man. It was great soaking up the sun. Walking barefooted on the grains of sand on the beach was like au natural foot reflexology. And having the sun scorching on the sand bed, it was oh-so nice.

Witnessed an old-lady strolling with her dog. When suddenly, her dog went bersak chasing after the crab on shore. It was such an amusing sight. The dog kept barking at the crab. And chasing it whenever it moves. There were even attempts to bite. =)
And more beach...

At the beach bar, sipping our last cheapo cocktails... Mai tai and smthg Carribeian thingy. *

There.. my three days in Langkawi. Nice food, cheap beers, good to sun tan, nice weather. But not many people-looking activities. Mostly are ang mohs in the late thirties, little asian..
